SPSF Parking System
The project is an advanced parking sensor created for Smart Factor. The sensor is designed to work in Smart Cities parking systems or can be a part of the ITS system. Real-time information on parking space usage reduces the time to search for a parking space, allows you to optimize the use of spaces, increase parking revenues, and reduce CO2 emissions.
SPSF Server Using the SPSF API, parking space occupancy data can be quickly integrated with the search and guidance support system for free parking spaces or other mobile applications. The basic data stored on the SPSF Server is the unique number of a single parking sensor and its current status (occupied/ free). The SPSF server and the data stored on it are the basis for additional services.
OCKO
OCKO is a ready-to-use product, designed for observing, measuring and analysing the behaviour of people, who visit a certain physical space.
The system helps to take full advantage of available resources. Therefore, it provides not only information about the volume of visitors, but it also allows to:
- create heatmaps - identify both the busiest zones and under-utilised areas,
- find out where the visitors are coming from,
- calculate the number of returning visitors,
- verify the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimise them.
Spark Control
The system is intended for employee management, planning and monitoring of works in real-time with wide application in greenhouses and horticulture. The extensive panel allows the user to create long-term plans with prioritization, consisting of individual tasks assigned to a specific employee. The sensor system enables real-time progress monitoring and employee location in given facilities.
Users can define areas (greenhouses) according to their own requirements and needs, including cultivated vegetables, thanks to which they can easily assess the efficiency of their activities by analyzing reports and calculating the time of task completion.
homeEEG
homeEEG for enQuant is a compact, and wireless 10/20 channel EEG recorder developed especially for mobile EEG measurements. The recorder was designed together with a dedicated helmet and electrode mounting system. It enables data to be recorded on an internal memory card or data to be sent to a server application. The mobile application used to manage the recorder system is the basic set enabling EEG testing at home. The HomeEEG recorder was developed to examine young children and adults. This is important, especially when the test needs to be performed on the youngest patients. The home examination is not as stressful as if it would be done in an environment unknown to the child.
The application enables recording images from two cameras connected to the computer and recording signals from the homeEEG device. These signals are transmitted via WiFi / Bluetooth network or serial interface. Signals from the homeEEG and the video image will be recorded on the computer and then available to be uploaded to the orderer's server. The application enables the transfer of video frames from each camera to the mobile application.
BLOKO
BLOKO Sensor Platform is a complex solution for controlling processes that are vital for your business. It’s a unique combination of advanced technology (e.g. FBG sensors), convenience, and functionality.
Our sensors are small-sized, easy to install, and remarkably resistant to difficult conditions, such as exposure to high or low temperatures and chemicals. They are wireless and they don’t require an external power supply.
Data (collected by the sensors) is processed by a dedicated system and you can access it conveniently at any time and from any place – all you need is an Internet connection and a computer or a mobile device.
Active Pedestrian Crossing
APC ZEBRA for Euroasfalt is an intelligent system of an active pedestrian crossing which informs the driver about the person at the crossing. There are synchronized elements like motion sensors, active road studs, road signs with warning lamps, and an anti-skid system.
The intelligence of these systems can be seen through active elements such as point reflective elements and halogen lamps. These elements are being activated only when the pedestrian is at or near the crossing.
DSDi Serwis platform
The platform was created for ELTCRAC SYSTEM. It includes three tools (DSDi Mobile, DSDi Manager, and DSDi User) that grant full control over service works.
The app monitors when and where the user carries out his or her tasks thanks to beacons placed in all serviced devices (for example in intercom panels, CCTV digital cameras, or in access control scanners). This also enables the application to show its user the shortest way to the place of service.

We created an intelligent solution for recycling bins. It is multifunctional and crucial in smart city development. Our project assumed simple, quick and innovative waste segregation. We have built our project from hardware to software.
For our solution, we needed an application that is dedicated to the quality of segregation waste controller and is based on the Android system.

We are working with a small group. All the time, we are in touch with a Project Manager and CTO. EMBIQ team includes a developer, QA Engineer, and UI designer.

We operate since 1991 and we are the security industry company. We sell and service electronic security systems. Currently our offer includes almost all kinds of security systems and automation.

Our aim was to create a few products: DSDi Info (the information app based on beacons), DSDi Platform (the Dynamic System of the Information Distribution that supports companies and institutions), DSDi Flow (multifunctional platform for monitoring and analyzing the movement of people), and websites.
Our projects are based on Beacons technology. EMBIQ’s people were working, for example, with Django, WebSocket, MongoDB, they created solutions for mobile apps. They used OCKO technology (a project of EMBIQ).

We are working with a vast team, from UI Designers to QA Engineers. Mobile Developers, Frontend Developers, Backend Developers, DevOps, UI/UX Designers.

Every project is working and expanding. EMBIQ still supports our projects. Together we have created platforms like DSDi Flow, DSDi Serwis and DSDi Info, websites gards.pl and ecsystem.pl
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have friendly relations with the EMBIQ team. Our communication is very clear. Contact with them is simple, we can call them anytime we like (we are in the same country). Few times a year we meet in the office to talk about past and future work. Mostly we have planned calls and e-meetings.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company? They are very complex. It is very convenient for us that we haven’t to look for another company for each part of the project. They have knowledge in less popular areas what was needed in our project.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There is only one thing they can improve - to test more. We know they are providing manual and automated testing and we believe that it is better for the project when you are doing it more.

There was a team of 7 people. We worked with FrontEnd Developers, BackEndDevelopers, MobileApps Developers, and Project Manager.

What is essential we wanted to create something for a foreign market. Thanks to EMBIQ experience and knowledge, we achieved what we wanted. We created a platform and mobile apps that are available in the foreign market.

They were very responsive; communication was evident for both sides. We were working together through Microsoft Teams. We have planned some calls, but we can write to them anytime we liked what is essential.

For what projects/services did your company hire EMBIQ, and what were your goals?
We hired them for the project of creating a smart sensor that could be used e.g. in greenhouses for planning and monitoring in real-time employee performance for individual tasks.
EMBIQ created the whole project of the management of the device. Our goal was to create an integrated system that allows collecting the data about the employee in a particular area.
We wanted to use technology based on LoRaWAN in greenhouses. The effect of our work is the device with a system (web app) that will generate reports, maps, and individual tasks in real-time that will improve work in greenhouses.

Someone recommended EMBIQ, we knew that this company is experienced and can work on many solutions for clients so we trusted them.

They had to create a wireless device (gate and tracker with 868 MHz , 915MHz, AS923, and 3,1 – 10,6 GHz frequency) based on LoRa, WiFi, UWB, Bluetooth BLE, LTE GPRS with firmware, and software. EMIBQ did all the R&D, they created a management panel.

We worked with a few EMBIQ’s specialists like frontend, backend, UIX, analytics, PM, architect, DevOps, and small IoT team. It was a good experience because the team was perfect for our project, they were self-reliant.

EMBIQ’s specialists are very open-minded so it helped us with our project because they had many ideas on how to improve our work.

There were no problems with communication even though a difficult pandemic situation (like home office and so on). We have contact with them all the time, we have some planned calls, we are using some communication channels, we can e-mail them and always get a response.

I’m the CEO of qChange. We’re an HR tech company.
What challenge were you trying to address with EMBIQ?
We hired EMBIQ to do software development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re working to create a customized platform for leaders and users of Microsoft Teams.
What is the team composition?
We work with five people, in total, but have direct contact with Alex (CEO) and a senior project manager.
How did you come to work with EMBIQ?
I was attending a conference and Alex reached out to meet, but we didn’t end up meeting. I reached out a month later and it made sense timing-wise. I needed a developer and felt he was a good person with strong ethics and values after I spoke with him.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $220,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their quality is extremely high. Their team thinks ahead and shows us the opportunities that lay in the future.
How did EMBIQ perform from a project management standpoint?
Overall, they’ve been really good. From our perspective, we’re on a pretty tight budget and they’re always trying to accommodate it. Sometimes, this means the dates get pushed but it’s to ensure we stay under our budget.
The project and communication are very clear; we have weekly meetings. In fact, one of my teammates has a standing meeting with them almost every day for 15 minutes, so there is really good, clear communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They think outside the box and offer easygoing, open communication. They’re very collegial. If we’re having difficulties, I can voice it and they listen, and vice versa.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes there are communication language breakdowns because they’re an international development house and we’re based in the US. However, that’s to be expected. If I were to point to something, they always do the right thing but they don’t always ask before doing it. They almost do too good of a job, if that’s such a thing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them. They have a really strong understanding of technology, but still give them a clear direction of what you need from a design standpoint.
The work of EMBIQ resulted in a working app that led to more sales. Communication was good and efficient. The client was impressed with the team’s expertise as it helped improve the product.
