Meltrans LLC is a freight forwarding company in Armenia founded in 1999. I am a logistics specialist, but I was also responsible for finding the development company for our website.
For what projects/services did your company hire G Design web-studio?
We hired G Design web-studio to design a company website.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goals were to increase traffic, orders, and revenue.
How did you select this vendor?
We chose G Design web-studio for their vast experience in the development field. Although we received a discount on their services, their quality was the best.
Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?
Within one week after describing what we wanted, they presented us with three different versions. From there, we selected a design and proceeded with the month-long development.
What was the team composition?
I worked with the project manager, who was also the director of the company, but there was one frontend and one backend developer for implementation.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Shortly after the official launch, we noticed an increase in the amount of inquiries, which eventually led to a rise in orders and company revenue. The website was completed three years ago, but it is still one of the more attractive ones in our industry.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management was effective and communicative from the very beginning. From the initial phone call to one-on-one conversations, the project manager did his best to assist our company and incorporate the design details we requested. He provided exactly the developers we wanted, who completed the project on time and according to our established scope.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was impressed by their willingness to help with even the most minor question. Patient, responsible, and organized, the project manager monitored the developers and submitted accurate work hours.
Are there any areas where they can improve?
There are no improvements needed at this point. Our needs were met and we are satisfied with the results. They have proven their professionalism, and we plan to work with them again in the near future for a web-based transportation app and a CRM system development project.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the manager and general producer of the Hover Chamber Choir, part of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
What challenge were you trying to address with G Design?
We needed support for the orchestra’s official website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
G Design provides maintenance for the existing Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra website. We’re planning to build a new version using another company, and G Design will most likely again be in charge of the maintenance and support of that site. They have also redesigned the Hover Chamber Choir website and created the All Armenian Orchestra website. We used the WordPress and Joomla platforms for the work.
What is the team composition?
I interact with their director as well as with the developer in charge of support.
How did you come to work with G Design?
I researched and found G Design and contacted them. Their director had a vast experience behind him.
How much have you invested with them?
The website development projects ranged from $1,000–$5,000 depending on their level of sophistication.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with G Design in December 2016 and relationship is ongoing. We will meet next week to discuss the redesign of the orchestra website.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I have been satisfied with their work.
They sorted out an issue two weeks ago, and we haven’t had any problems since. There was a security issue with one of our websites; one of the plug-ins hindered its operation. It was an older website built by another group. G Design made an effort to maintain the website and solve any issues. After we’ve updated the site, we will go to their team for maintenance once more.
How did G Design perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a responsive team that made an effort to apply immediate solutions to any issues we brought up. I’ve been satisfied with their work most of the time. They have also been flexible with costs.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for MEK Furniture, which is based in Armenia and conducts sales and imports with many other countries. I'm the import manager and I also manage our website.
What challenge were you trying to address with G Design web-studio?
We were looking for someone to revamp our website and make it more comprehensible to our international audience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built our new site from scratch. We wanted it to introduce our brand effectively and explain the three major aspects of our corporation, so we gave them a list of specific content and features we needed. They advised us on how to organize the pages in a way that best suited our business, and then they designed everything to be accessible to our end-users. The site translates into multiple languages, there are simple icons to represent different categories of products, and the menu is arranged very clearly.
What is the team composition?
I interact with their owner and one of the technicians. Once in a while, they'd assign a third person to our project.
How did you come to work with G Design?
We met with the designers from several companies and we chose them based on the quality of the websites demos they showed us. They were also very professional and took the time to explain different design strategies to us so that we could choose the best options and stay ahead in our market.
How much have you invested with them?
It cost about $1,223 for the redesign project. We also pay an annual fee for hosting, updates and site maintenance.
What is the status of this engagement?
The site redesign took place between May and July 2015.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We've received positive feedback not only from customers but also from the companies that supply to us. One of those furniture dealers is very particular about their image and we needed their approval on the site so we could keep stocking their products. Even they had good things to say about the redesign, so it came out far better than we anticipated.
In terms of metrics, we receive analytics reports every three months so we can track how well the site is doing in terms of traffic and conversions.
How did G Design perform from a project management standpoint?
They're extremely attentive. No matter what time it is, no matter whether the issue is minor or not, I can get ahold of them and they'll resolve it right away.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They followed our directions very closely and delivered a quality product to us. I was also impressed by their professionalism and their depth of knowledge. We were a bit hesitant to pay so much for the site, but they took the time to break down the costs for us and explain why it would be more economical in the long run to build a site that was coded well and wouldn't grow outdated quickly.
With a classic, contemporary design, the website began generating more inquiries, orders, and revenue immediately after launch. Communicative, professional, and eager to assist, G Design delivered organized, accountable project management and ensured all project requirements were met on time.
