I am the managing director of a digital agency specializing in high-engagement digital experiences for arts, culture and entertainment.

For what projects/services did your company hire nodo.agency, and what were your goals?

Nodo were tasked to build a large and complex front-end with dozens of templates, content modules and components. We requested code that matched our in-house style, build pipelines and exacting standards.

How did you select nodo.agency and what were the deciding factors?

This was our 4th project with Nodo. We originally selected them for detailed and professional response to RFI, communication ability and clearly demonstrated ability.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The requirement was to deliver all front-end code and in-browser behaviour for this extensive magazine site, finished and ready for integration with our backend systems.

CSS layer was required to be light, minimal, written in scss and organised by component. We requested no unnecessary cruft or code debt to be inherited from bloated frameworks.

Cascade should be respected, naming should be a sensible BEM standard. JS layer was behavioural and decorative on this project rather than functionally integral. Again we stipulated clear, clean and minimal code without unnecessary framework or lib bloat.

HTML was to be built using client-side templating to provide a reasonable integration structure. We stipulated webpack (along with certain in-house settings) for the build, bundling, and dep management.

The project lead / manager and the senior front-end dev from nodo worked with us.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The build met our exacting standards in every way. Following a QA phase conducted by our internal team, we submitted a few follow-up requests which were actioned without comment in a matter of hours. T

he frontend build has been rock solid, performed admirably on speed metrics and been virtually issue free. Most importantly our internal team has found it straightforward to work with both from integration and extension points of view.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

We trust these guys after multiple projects together. Our senior team have their PM on personal Skype and simply ask/answer questions as they arise. I can't comment on how they manage projects within nodo; suffice it to say that deadlines have always been met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are professional and qualified and build a great product. They communicate very well on potential budget issues, dev issues and any build questions that arise. Beyond professionalism however, the most impressive thing about nodo is their craftsmanship. They genuinely care about the quality of what they produce and put love into making it exceptional. Those are values we espouse as an agency, which is why we keep working with these guys.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, we were completely satisfied with this project.

Nodo.agency helped us transform Sketch designs to a fully functional react web application.

What were your goals for this project?

We had very aggressive timelines for this project. Nodo.agency went above and beyond to meet our goal. They worked weekends and extra hours to make sure that our project was delivered with superior quality and craftsmanship.

I selected this vendor because they are software engineers, not just web developers. They know how to create applications that load quickly, scale, and also look beautiful.

The objective of the project was to create a React web application for one of the largest media companies in the United States. Nodo.agency worked in tandem with the software engineering team in the US to complete the project on time. The quality of code that Nodo delivered was beyond our expectations. We often merged very complex pull requests directly into master and deployed to our test environment on a daily basis. We built a level of trust with the team because they are experience, thoughtful, and great engineers.

What was the team composition?

The team was composed of Den as the project leader and Artur as the frontend engineer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The client was ecstatic about the results of our project. They were so impressed by the snappiness of the application, how well it worked on mobile and desktop, and also how seamless and polished the application felt. Nodo went above and beyond to make our application feel polished with animations and clean design implementation.

We have been working with Denis and his team on three projects related to healthcare and financial services. Nodo Agency has been enganged for frontend development, more specifically converting Sketch to SASS/HTML.

To deliver SASS/HTML templates according to design and specification, that were responsive and working well on all devices

Nodo Agency has helped us with a wide range of tasks over the years. The main focus has been converting designs into SASS/HTML. We've also benefitted from their experience with project management tools/methodologies aswell as insights into web standards and UIUX best practices.

We have been working mostly with Denis. More recently we've been working primarliy with one of the other developers, and Denis has taken more of a project manager/senior developer role.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Denis and his team has made very valuable contributions to our projects. Work is always done on time and budget and as discussed.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management is lean, and Denis and his team has great focus on efficient workflow. Working with Nodo Agency has also given us valuable tips on how to improve our own workflows to become more efficient. Communication is always clear and deliveries are always on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their attention to detail and the ability to solve hard problems on time impressed us. They would usually stretch to help us meet tight deadlines and last minute changes, and when the occasion calls for it they would suggest various alternatives to help us get around particularly difficult problems.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nodo Agency will challenge you. This is actually a good thing, but takes some time getting used to at first. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions about details you had never thought about. If you do, great results will come out in the other end.

We’re a marketing company for pubs and clubs in Australia. We provide online services, tools, and applications for them to use.

What challenge were you trying to address with nodo.agency?

We hired nodo.agency to create wireframes into HTML pages.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided them with sketch wireframes for about 12–15 different pages. The team at nodo.agency converted those into HTML. There were some changes that they had to deal with, but essentially their team converted sketches into functional HTML. We had about three phases of work.

We worked with a project manager, Denis (CEO), and a developer.

My developer recommended them because of his past experience working with them.

We had deadlines in place, which they consistently met. Their team also kept me up to date whenever a phase was completed.

Vidico is a video production agency that's based in Melbourne, Australia.

For what projects/services did your company hire nodo.agency?

We worked with nodo on producing our new agency website, Vidico.com. We worked with them on the front-end, back-end across both desktop and mobile functionality.

What were your goals for this project?

1. We wanted our designs to be respected and upheld — a lot of effort went into them. 2. We wanted our website to perform well — fast load times and no errors. 3. We wanted a flexible CMS that would allow us to update content over time.

How did you select this vendor?

We saw Nodo's previous work and were seriously impressed on how engaging and clean their websites looked. They have mastered both the product side and the communications side of digital products, with excellent technical know-how.

We worked with Nodo over 5-6 months to: - Take our website that was designed in sketch and convert it to HTML/CSS. - Add animations to our front-end, which they developed seamlessly. - Produced functionality for both desktop, tablet and mobile use. - Produced a complete backend, and Wordpress CMS which to this day, is the best I have ever seen or used personally.

What was the team composition?

Nodo was a team of two at the time. We found this fine and desire-able from our perspective, as communication was quick and actionable. These guys are very good with their communication, which is a big big positive from our perspective.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our website is constantly praised by heads of marketing from companies like Uber, Square and Amazon Web Services. It is hands down, one of the best websites for our industry niche globally. I would even say #1 with confidence.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We communicated via Slack and used Notion's Kanban for task management. Simple and easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Attention to detail and suggestions for improvement was beyond anything that I have seen in my career working with freelancers. Nodo is on another level which it comes to digital products — they have set a benchmark which makes it hard to even consider anyone else.

No. They are timely, high-quality, great value and honest people. We intend to keep working with them indefinitely.
